What’s Working? Worry be gone! Part 3.
In Bring Your B.R.A.I.N. to Birth, Part 1 of this series, we looked at making informed choice as a tool in combating anxiety and worry.
Part 2 “What If Everything Works Out Just Fine?!” went into flipping our “what if’s” around.
The final piece of this puzzle is GRATITUDE or APPRECIATION or WHAT’S WORKING?!
If you get my e-letter, The CORD (if not, subscribe here!) you’ve seen I include a gratitude section at the end of each.
I’m grateful for gratitude :-)
In case you haven’t heard, it’s trendy to be grateful. And this is a good thing!
So hop on the express train to getting more of what you like. When we focus of the stuff we are thankful for, the stuff we like, the stuff that’s working – there is simply less room for worry. Easy!
Three ways to start a gratitude practice:
1.When you wake up. Take a deep breath and say a silent thank you. You can say this to yourself, God, the universe, your breath, the sun, your baby, who or whatever. Just put your gratitude out there.
2.When something, anything makes you stop and smile, catch that thought and formulate it into a sentence like “wow I love the feeling of the sun on my face!” Then share it out loud to someone (especially to your little people!) or repeat it silently to yourself.
3.Start a gratitude practice at dinner or bedtime. Each family member gets a turn to say what they are thankful for. With really little people, you can use “what made you smile today?” The answers will likely make you smile.
I’m grateful to be launching The CORD podcast in one month! And I’m grateful to have you creating the future with me. Thank you for being you! You are appreciated!
What are you appreciating? Tell me in the comments :-).
